Midsoft is a UK-based business software company, led by company director Andy Dyble.
It has more than 20 years’ experience of developing and delivering IT solutions for the skip hire, plant and tool hire, trade waste, haulage and many other industry sectors across the country.
Midsoft understands the needs of small-to-medium-sized companies and has developed solutions that provide all the features their customers need, but at a price they can afford.
It also offers integrations with applications such as Sage and Xero, helping customers to massively reduce their workload on invoicing, double-entry and many other manual procedures.
The company serves more than 500 regular clients. Yet it’s a highly streamlined operation – with a team of just eight employees made up of software development, technical support and sales consultants.
Midsoft started out in 1990 as an IT service company providing mainly computer hardware.
But, in response to customer demand, it soon started to develop bespoke hire management software, which gradually became the core focus of Midsoft’s business activities.
So, in 1998, the company made the decision to sell the hardware side of the business.
At the same time, Midsoft realised many of its clients were using their software to perform very similar functions. As a result, its team of programmers were able to follow a common and repeatable method of application design.
This significantly reduced the cost of developing software and meant the company was able to offer its products at substantially lower prices than the competition.
By 2004, Midsoft had moved away from tailor-made solutions towards off-the-shelf applications. Nevertheless, it continued to offer bespoke add-ons so customers could adapt their software to suit their needs.
